5 Days Desert tour from marrakech to Fez via Merzouga to discover the authentic Moroccan Sahara with an exceptional night under the wonderful starry sky, Berber camp, and camel treks experience.

Full Description:

Day 1: Marrakech- Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou-Ouarzazate– Roses valley – Dades/Gorges

Get picked up from Marrakesh (Airport-Hotel or Riad at7.30 am), to drive together towards Ouarzazate town identified as the gateway to morocco fantastic Sahara desert. We’ll pass through the dramatic landscape of High- Atlas- Mountains crossing Tizi-in-Tichka pass. We’ll stop at wonderful well-known Ait-Benhaddou- Kasbah fascinating red earth fortress (30 km) from Ouarzazate city. Enjoy Lunchtime and continue to adorable Dades Gorge via the famous city Ouarzazate. “Hollywood of Africa”, and stop at Kalaat Mgouna recognized by roses and it’s a yearly festival in May during rose’s harvest. Then, continue to our hotel at Dades Gorge. (Dinner/overnight).

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud town – Merzouga

After breakfast, drive back over the valley to watch the rock-forming “monkey toes”, and amazing until now-standing (from 19th century) Ait Yul Kasbah. Depart from Dades valley to Tinrghir and Todra valley.we’ll enjoy watching panoramic views of the old Berber villages overlooking the valley. And get to Gorge and stroll under (300m) high red cliff, where much Rock-climbers come to entertain their preferred sport. Continue to Erfoud town and Rissani where we have traditional delicious food at lunch; afterward, we’ll leave to Merzouga (Night/Dinner Hotel/riad Merzouga).

DAY 3: Rissani Excursion-Camel trekking

Following breakfast in your hotel at 10.00 AM, you will start an amazing explorative tour of the Merzouga area. With your private driver, you will visit black volcanic rocks of marble fossils, the Gnawa in Khamlia village, in order to, learn about the Gnawa music. Not far away, we will have an excursion to Rissani city founded by the Alaouite dynasty. (Break for lunch on your own by Madfouna -Moroccan Pizza). Back to hotel/Riad in Merzouga for Rest and be ready to enjoy camel trekking around 45min to our well-equipped camp… Berber drumming and a star-filled sky make for a perfect ending to an extraordinary day. (Night/Dinner Berber camp).

DAY 4: Merzouga- TodrAGorge-Boumalne Dades- El-Kelaâ/M’Gouna- Ouarzazate

Wake up early to watch the sunrise. After that back by camel-trek to Merzouga Hotel/Riad, Have breakfast and freshen up before beginning our new journey to Ouarzazate via Todra Gorge, Boumalne -Dades, Kelaâ M’Gouna and Skoura too. We’ll have a short break time to explore Todra-gorges and walk through this stunning place while enjoying views of high rock walls.continue to the superb urban community Boumalne Dadès where we’ll enjoy lunchtime. Later on, we’ll drive towards El Kelâa-M’gouna, the valley of 1000 Kasbahs & Skoura palmer. Finally, arrive at Ouarzazate (Dinner & night at Hotel/Riad).

Day 5: Ouarzazate-Ait ben haddou- Tizi-n-Tichka Marrakech city

After breakfast, we’ll visit Atlas films Studios before we head together to Aït Benhaddou village( UNESCO -World-Heritage Site) where we’ll see strange named Kasbah situated on uphill over the fertile Ounila River it’s very popular because of its role-playing in hosting many films like The Message Jesus of Nazareth, Jewel of the Nile, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator & The Mummy. Later on, continue driving to Telouet. We’ll have a break for lunch & relax. Then we’ll visit the magnificent Kasbah of Telouet. Afterward, travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m). On way, we’ll stop for photos & enjoying panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains with Berber villages settled on side of the road. Reach Marrakech city end of the tour. (Drop off your Riad/hotel).
